Good ping compared to literally every other server was one of the things I loved about Zyth survival. I used to get 60-80 ms about a week ago (maybe 90 if there were over 12 people on). However, since last week my ping has consistently been above 200 ms. It's not just me, EVERYONE's ping is higher. Just look at the player list. This makes PVP very difficult and annoying. There is also a delay when opening containers, but it's not game braking. I recall there was an update to survival (and now the server is called "performance" for some reason) about a week ago (exactly when everyone's ping got worse, and I think it may have caused the issue. I'm not sure what the update added or changed, just that the server got laggier ever since then. If the update is what is causing this, I think that we should go back to the old version. 

Edit: Here's a quote for the Survival release notes: "Also expect performance issues, as we test fixes for the performance problem across the network." Given the server name "performance", the update could be a temporary test. 

Please let me know if there is a better place for this post, I tried to make a suggestion but couldn't figure out how to do it.

update: as of 2/17/25 ping is slightly better, though it's still nowhere near where it used to be. I asked rimm about it and was told that the update was switching to more reliable servers. I do not think there will be changes.
